Base layer sourcing
Specify the fit that sits under the uniform pant
A sliding short is worn beneath the outer pant, so its shape has to work with that pant rather than on its own. GenXport patterns it against the pant block you are ordering.
Set the inseam and the waistband first. A shorter inseam suits warm conditions and a closer pant, a longer inseam gives more thigh coverage under a knicker block. Waistband width and elastic type decide whether the short holds position through sliding movement, and a flat or bonded seam reduces rubbing under a tight outer pant.
Then be clear on what the product is. These are stretch knit base layer shorts. Padding components and a protective cup pocket are only included when they are specified, and no injury protection or impact performance claim is made for the garment. Decoration is limited to a waistband mark, a side panel graphic and care or size identification, because printed artwork on a high stretch panel distorts when the short is worn.
