Specifying the cap
Cap construction comes before the crest
A traditional cricket cap and a modern panel cap are two different builds, even in the same club colors. Settle the construction first, because it decides the decoration area you have to work with.
Describe the crown, the panel count, the peak shape and the closure rather than relying on a product name. GenXport produces cricket caps in flat peak, pre curved peak and traditional soft crown forms, so a short construction note removes most of the back and forth. State the head size assortment as well, since a one size closure and a graded fitted run need different patterns.
The club crest then has to work on a curved front panel with limited area. Send vector artwork, and we will digitize it at the finished size so fine lettering does not collapse into the stitch. Check the mark against the panel seams on the sample, and keep the color references for the crown, peak, button and closure in the same approval.

Decoration options
Getting the crest onto a curved panel
Decoration is applied in house. Pick the method per placement, and send artwork early so the crest can be digitized at the finished size.
Printed front graphics
Choose when the artwork carries gradients or fine detail that stitch cannot hold. Confirm the base fabric, since print behaves differently on twill.
Side and rear identification
Choose for sponsor marks, initials or a season reference. Keep each mark small and clear of the panel seams.
