DTG, or direct-to-garment printing, uses a specialised inkjet printer to apply water-based ink directly into a cotton garment. The garment is pretreated so the ink bonds and cures properly, then the design is printed and heat-cured.
Because the ink soaks into the cotton, the print is soft to the touch and reproduces full-colour, photographic detail. DTG is the go-to method for low-minimum, full-colour prints on cotton.
It is ideal for short runs, on-demand drops, and testing designs without the setup cost of screen printing.
